Femke works at Reframing Studio since 2007. She is an allround design professional with a focus on people research, design strategy and concept development. She has a special interest in creating frameworks that can inspire, create clarity and drive insights for future design solutions in meaningful ways.

As a design strategist she helps firms and organisations with questions of ‘what and why’, both immediately and over the long term. She is passionate about understanding human behaviour and translating insights into compelling new opportunities and concepts. In her current position she is responsible for designing new service concepts around organ donation for the Nierstichting, new mobility concepts for Athlon Car Lease, a vision on information in train stations for NS, ProRail and Bureau Spoorbouwmeester and several new projects in the field of redesigning mental healthcare.

Femke holds a master’s degree with honors in Design for Interaction from Delft University of Technology, faculty of Industrial Design. In her master thesis, carried out at Philips Design, she designed a possible future for patient rooms in hospitals, based on the experience of serious illness. Next to designing at Reframing Studio she also coaches design students in the basic principles of the reframing method.
